Our guest today is Paul Levy, the current vice president and incoming president of the PGA of America. We cover a lot of ground including Paul’s take on the state of the golf industry, his plans as president of the PGA of America, and how the PGA is engaging the youth in America. Paul also answers a number of listener submitted questions including how to minorities and women more active in the game.
Paul is the President of Club Operations and Development for Sunrise Company. In addition, he serves as the Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Toscana Country Club located in Indian Wells, California. In November of 2012, Paul was elected to serve as Secretary of the PGA of America which was the culmination of over twenty-five years of service and commitment to his association, the game and industry. He has served as Vice President since 2014 and later this year will become president of the PGA – the world’s largest working sports association.
He’s been honored as Merchandiser of the year ,received the Bill Strausburgh award and has served as president of the Southern Texas PGA Section. He’s a graduate from LSU where he played on the golf team for 3 years and currently lives in Indian Wells, CA with his wife and 5 children.
