Speaker 1:

Hey everyone, welcome to private club radio, where leaders in club hospitality and management come to talk and stay informed on the latest in club trends, strategies, management, insights. We go over all of things private clubs related. I'm your host, denny Corby. Welcome, and I cannot believe it has been one year since taking the reins here, uh being the host of private club radio, uh, acquiring it from our friend, gabe Aloisi, who right now is absolutely destroying on his channel. Let's play through. He is please go check him out. He's. His reviews are awesome. He's so entertaining uh, and he's doing amazing things and built something, um, really awesome. He's built a great community over there, uh, which is funny because that's what one of the biggest lessons I've come across We've learned from taking over private club radio. But time flies, time flies and as I'm looking at my, at my notes and things I want to talk about that I I think that I've learned here from private club radio the, the 30,000 foot view of them all is things that we are learned, that we are taught, that we are uh told to do, that are tried and true for years. Uh, the the keys to success, to how things work, it's. It all goes back to like the same. It goes back to basics. It's so funny. So community is massive. The, the club world has been amazing to me and I want to continue to welcome more people into it. So if you're new to the private club world, welcome, um. But the world has been absolutely fantastic and I love how just welcoming and warm and open it is. So I want to just uh uh say thank you to all of the friends I made. All of the uh friendships that have uh blossomed into uh better friendships and different opportunities, and just linking up different people in the club world has been so much fun, coming at it from my a perspective and point of view and from doing the. You know my, my magic mind-reading and comedy show. So if you're interested in some amazing entertainment this year for your members and you want the Denny Corby experience, head on over to dennycorbycom Now booking dates. But from doing shows all over the, all over the country, I've been able to connect with clubs in a in a weird way, because I I've connected and built these relationships with not just the clubs themselves but the club professionals and the and the members of the clubs, and because of social media and we all just stay connected. I've just built this little world and just know all these people in different ways, and just being able to connect all of those people has been really cool. So, before I go on any further, I do want to say thank you to our show partners. Um, concert golf partners, please go listen to our episodes of board chats. We go into really deep stuff on, uh, uh, deeper topics on the board room, the late topics there, uh, our episodes of member vetting sponsored by Kenis AKA, uh, paul Dank, asg investigations, uh, really going. Uh, it's about keeping our assets safe, keeping our club safe, by protecting who we bring in. And we have members first. They are just tremendous human beings over there, uh, and I only try to work with, um, the best humans, um, because, uh, life is short and I don't like bad people, but just the there's so many names I can drop and just people I've met, but you know who you are. But thank you all so much and I, as we continue to go on this, go on this journey together, I've learned there are no shortcuts, there is no fast lane to anything. You just have to do the work, put your head down and just go one day at a time. There's no magic potion, it's just putting in the work, is just doing it over and over again and at the end of the day, nobody cares. It's about doing your best, giving it your all and going home to, hopefully, a very supporting and loving family. And you know you're responsible for your own success. No one else is responsible for it for you, no one's going to do it for you. And you just got to, you just got to do to work. So you know I was just talking with Brian, just the years of hard work to go and get get her CCM. And you know we all have our own journeys, our own lives, our own goals, our own views of what success is and at the end of the day, there it's just about moving the needle forward. You know, taking a, taking a bite of the elephant, moving the just just keep moving, just keep swimming. And you know life, life is short and we have to appreciate the opportunities that that we have to the maximum and continue to. We have to create. So if the, if the opportunity is not always there, you have to. You know, sometimes create it. You know if there's no door to walk through, then build the door. There's no door to open. You got to, you know, build, build the door sometimes. And Having the conversation with, with Alan Jacobs, that was, you know, very Eye opening and that one, that one, that one hit. I know I'm not as close to Alan as as some of you, some of our listeners here, but I mean just it. That was a that was a powerful episode. The only way through is through and continue on moving forward. And then I had the conversation with, with Max, who you know, about appreciating all the opportunities that we have continue to have and if there is no opportunity, then make the opportunity. We are we, we all. We are in a very unique, amazing place right now, a very unique opportunity time in life in the world and to be alive where, with a couple clicks and a little bit of time, you can be connected in chat with so many people. And, yeah, I've learned, I've, I've learned a lot, going to continue to learn a lot. And Big planes need big runways. And To everyone out there fighting the good fight, Putting in the work, putting in the hours, keep it up. I'm excited to continue to bring more value to the private club world Episode a day at least here on private club radio, we have cool stuff coming in the in the upcoming weeks. If you listen to this in the past then you'll see the results, hopefully. But well, things were going cool places and I'm excited for you to be on the journey. It's been a wild year.
