Hey everyone, welcome back to Private Club Radio. I'm your host, denny Corby. In this episode I would like to talk about Googling your club. Googling your club Do you know what is out there about your club? I've done my fair share of researching and looking at clubs. I'm very fortunate I've been able to travel the country performing at some of the best clubs. I usually research the club, check out the pictures, just kind of see what the club vibe is all about, and often when you just search a club's name, some things come up A lot of good things, but also sometimes not so good things, and it's not a big deal. So first I recommend you do just a general Google search, so just your club name, and then you can get specific. You can do your club name and city and state. You can do your club name weddings, club name, party. There's a whole bunch of different things that you can search, but I recommend that you just go and search and see what's out there. If you have any reviewed, I think it's very important to engage with all of them, whether they're good or bad, and on any and all platforms, because I know there's platforms like WeddingWire and some other ones that clubs are a part of because of their wedding business. But make sure you respond. Google reviews are very, very big. I think we're going to do another episode just on the importance of Google reviews, but make sure you're on there, make sure you understand what review your club has and figure out how you can make that better. You want to get the close, obviously, as five stars, as possible. Now, once you've done your Google search, you are now going to do a Google search on those same terms, but for images. What people don't realize is Googling Google imaging as a term gets you a whole different set of results and that will allow you to see what people and what information is out there about your club when it comes to visuals and pictures. So do a general Google search, then search Google images, because you're going to get a whole bunch of different results, and then, as you're at it, check all of the reviews and make sure you are interacting and engaging with all of them. Now take those same phrases that you searched, go over to Instagram, facebook and other social media platforms and search in there those same terms, because those social media platforms are also many search engines in themselves and you can search specifically, from hashtags to photos, to posts, to videos, and I just think it's really important to see what is out there and what people can see about your club. And finally, I recommend you try it on yourself. If you have not Googled yourself, I highly recommend it. I know sometimes people think they are private people, but there's a lot of information out there and I think it's important just to know what is out there. So, the same thing you did with your club results, you just do for yourself. So your name and your title, your name and club name, your name and position, you can get really detailed with it. And don't forget to search over on Google images, because that's going to bring up a whole different set of results. Also, just make sure you don't go down the rabbit hole too far, because easy to get lost and that is all. That's something that has just been on my radar and a topic of conversation with me and my other private club colleagues here, and it's a simple fix that we can all do and I shouldn't say fix, because it's not always a bad thing and it's just a simple strategy just to A see what is out there and B correct anything that may or may not be up to your standards or maybe a little bit subpar. Hope you all enjoyed that episode. If you did not do so already, make sure you follow or subscribe to get the newest and latest updates and, if you're at it, always appreciate.
